Welcome!

Welcome to the classroom blog.  This will be taking the place of the email as it will be the one stop spot for all the M5 news.  This is my first attempt at blogging, but I'm committed to making it work and in the future I hope to have students assist me with this piece of communication. For now enjoy a few pictures that have been taken at events the last six weeks.

The class at the end of a great day at River Rendezvous!

Trying out writing on a slate.

The French fur trapper showing us how wool blankets
 became coats.
The medicine man was also an entertainer.

The horner made storage containers out of horns.
It was the Tupperware of its time.

Fun was had at the 19th Century games station.

At the logging station, the students had to work!

Bea Bastyr shared with us about music from different
regions of Africa.

Students had the opportunity to try the many instruments.
